On the lookout for commercial roofing in Somerset/England? Our commercial roof covering experts in Somerset/England can provide you with the ideal quotations for having commercial roofing installed or replaced.

Commercial rooftops can be needed for numerous reasons, especially if the existing roofing requires repair or it’s going to be installed on a new build.

There are plenty of variables which will contribute to the structure and planning of a new commercial roof and the cost will all depend upon the size and style you select.

Thermoplastic roofing is particularly popular. This sort of roofing is made of a sturdy material with high temperature tolerance. The material is a favourite for commercial roofs because it’s resistant against ultraviolet and chemical substance exposure. The roof covering will last for over two decades, having a excellent resistance for fire, punctures and high wind loads.

You might also look at EPDM roofing. The durability and flexibility of EPDM roofing can make it a popular material in the commercial roofing world. These kinds of roofing materials have the advantage of being simpler to install, maintain and repair too, contributing to their popularity.

Burnham-on-Sea is a town in Somerset, on the mouth of the River Parrett and Bridgewater Bay. Prior to the eighteenth century, Burnham was a modest fishing village. Its expansion started when it became a well-known seaside resort throughout the Victorian time, at a time when seaside holidays were extremely popular. It is part of the parish of Burnham-on-Sea and Heybridge, and it shares a town council with Highbridge, a neighbouring market town. As recorded in the 2011 Census, the population of the town was approximately 20,000. As a consequence of the town’s positioning on the border of the Somerset Levels and moors where they meet the Bristol Channel, Burnham’s history is dominated by land reclamation and sea defences since the Roman era. Resulting from the town’s position close to the mouth of the River Parrett, there is a higher risk to shipping in the area. Lighthouses are, for that reason, important landmarks close to the town, with the original lighthouse, the Round Tower, built to take over from the light on the top of the 14th-century town of St. Andrews Church used to decrease the number of shipwrecks. The High Lighthouse measures 34 metres, and one lighthouse is referred to as ‘Lighthouse on Legs’. The construction of a stone pier was completed in 1858 by the Somerset Central Railway. After its establishment in 1860, a steam service to Wales started, though it was not a commercial success. A second steamer service, concrete pier, built following three years of work in 1914, is known as the shortest pier in Britain. Regardless of its tiny size, the pier was shortlisted as being on the list of leading five piers in Britain.
